ABOUT
Hi! My name is Kate Pangos, Birth Doula, Perinatal Pilates Instructor & Lactation Counselor. Welcome to my site, I am so excited that you are here!
Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself…
First & foremost, I am a wife and a mother to two beautiful children, currently pregnant with our third! I gave birth to our first baby in Spain, which was incredible but definitely came with some challenges, so I know firsthand how beautiful but challenging the journey into parenthood can be. My delivery with our daughter really helped solidify my passion for helping empower families through giving them the tools to feel confident during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Our son was born in Cleveland, Ohio and my second birth experience was vastly different. I diligently researched to find the right support team for myself, hired a doula for support and did all of the preparation I could to set myself to deliver him vaginally. After a difficult and lengthy labor I was able to bring him into the world & had a successful VBAC with the help of an amazing support team.
I began my journey toward discovering this passion at Gonzaga University. While there, I played collegiate soccer and earned a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Biology. At the time, I knew I wanted to do something in the healthcare field but I wasn’t exactly sure what that would be. After graduation I took a year off to join my (now) husband in his first year overseas as a professional basketball player in Spain. While there, I decided to apply for an accelerated nursing program and was accepted to New York University. In December of 2017, I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. It was during my time at NYU that I truly discovered my passion for working with pregnant women. I felt at home during my clinical rotation in the labor and delivery unit and tried to soak up as much knowledge as I could during that time. Shortly after graduating from nursing school & passing the boards, we got married and moved to Barcelona for my husband's basketball career. During our 2 years living there, we conceived and gave birth to our baby girl. Through my delivery experience with her, I quickly realized how unprepared I was, even though I felt like I had prepared myself adequately for childbirth. I also realized how important it is to have a supportive partner that is educated and has the confidence to be a great advocate.
Shortly after giving birth to our daughter…
I began my certification towards becoming a Birth Doula and Lactation Counselor. Since then, I have worked virtually with multiple beautiful families, in many different countries, and have helped them navigate their own journey's into welcoming a beautiful baby into the world. Working virtually has been an incredible experience, as it has given me the opportunity to really teach the partner how to be the best advocate and play a very active role through the entire pregnancy and delivery.

What I can offer to you as your Birth Doula…
Global Presence
Working as a Virtual Doula gives me the unique privilege of providing support to clients living all over the world! Giving birth to our first daughter in Spain, I truly understand the difficulties of being away from home and navigating pregnancy and childbirth, while dealing with challenges such as language barrier, cultural differences, and oftentimes, having a much smaller support system. I have worked with clients giving birth in Turkey, France, Spain, Canada, as well as the United States, and each experience has been unique and amazing. I look forward to continuing to offer support to couples bringing their babies into the world all over the globe!
